Students for the Global Goals

CBS Climate Club will be present at this year’s SDG Day taking place on the 25th of April. We will set up a booth at Solbjerg Plads where our main focus will be on recycling. Do you know what trash that goes into what recycling bin? Come test your knowledge and get to taste some climate-friendly food. Do not forget to check out other events taking place on SDG Day:

SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Day celebrates the Global Goals laid out by the United Nations. These goals are set as guidelines on how to achieve a better and more sustainable future with among others: enhanced climate action, a better environment for all living creatures, and a greater focus on affordable and clean energy. CBS PRME is hosting SDG Day this year together with their partners VELUX, Ørsted, Accenture Danmark, and Tuborgfondet. All events will be looking at the SDGs in a business context.

NOTICE: This event is free and will be open to everyone! You will not need to sign up anywhere; all you have to do is show up at Solbjerg Plads and join us in our celebration of the Global Goals.

Jesper Theilgaard: Klimaforandringer

Forelæsning om klimaforandringer. ''Det giver håb, at de unge tænker på sagen'', Jesper Theilgaard, Politiken, 1. januar 2019.

Meteorolog Jesper Theilgaard forelæser på CBS om klimaforandringer og nødvendigheden af kollektiv organisering. Forelæsningen er baseret på Theilgaards ekspertise som meteorolog og motiveret af en bekymring over forholdet mellem de dramatiske klimaforandringer, som kloden og dens beboere står overfor, og manglen på effektive kollektive organiseringer som svar.’

En særlig gruppe er de unge. Som Theilgaard udtaler i et debatindlæg i Politiken d. 16. august, efter en usædvanlig varm og tør sommer:

”De unge er netop den gruppe, som her har mest at tabe. De må se deres fremtid blive besværliggjort af det varmere klima.”

De unge er både dem, der skal tegne fremtiden med deres handlinger og den gruppe, hvis fremtid er på spil. Derfor er Theilgaard inviteret til at indbyde de studerende til at engagere sig i organiseringen af tiltag, der svarer på klimaforandringernes problem.
